Bath Electric, Gas and Water Systems (BEGWS) is a municipal utility owned by the Village of Bath since 1936.
BEGWS provides electric, gas, water and sewer services to residents in the Village of Bath and to a portion of residents in the Town of Bath.
BEGWS strives to provide safe and reliable utility services at attractive rates.
Its dedicated work force provides round-the-clock utility services and support and is committed to serving the Bath community.
The Village of Bath Municipal Utility Commission, which consists of five members appointed by the Village of Bath Board of Trustees, is responsible for the overall management of BEGWS.

Purchase Power Adjustment Charge (PPAC): BEGWS is allotted an amount of hydro power of which it can purchase through the New York Power Authority.

HEAP Customers need to select "Pay Other Amount" and type in the "Total Due" amount from their Bill in the "Payment Amount:" field to ensure they are paying the correct balance due.
