1. Worker's Compensation Insurance coverage is a requirement for all wage earners employed by any size company (owners who operate as Sole Proprietors are exempt, but their employees are not).
2. The cost for this insurance varies depending upon job descriptions.
But, the current rate for the residential carpenter category is approximately $13.50 for every $100 earned by that employee.
This insurance coverage represents a substantial portion of our employee costs.
3. Any worker injured on your property who is not covered by WC Insurance may sue the homeowner for recovery of any medical or other costs.
